D-Man Joins Coachella Valley Following 2025-26 Season with Rochester and Jacksonville
The Coachella Valley Firebirds announced today that the team has signed defenseman Aidan Fulp to a one-year American Hockey League contract.
Fulp, 26, spent the 2025-26 season between the AHL’s Rochester Americans and the ECHL’s Jacksonville Icemen. The Westfield, IN native recorded three assists in 21 games with Rochester and totaled 18 points (3 goals, 15 assists) in 24 games with Jacksonville. Fulp was named to the 2026 Warrior/ECHL All-Star Classic.
The 6-foot-3 defenseman has skated in 105 career AHL regular season games between Rochester and the Bridgeport Islanders, recording one goal and 15 assists for 16 points. Fulp spent two full seasons with Bridgeport from 2023-25 after joining the Islanders at the conclusion of his collegiate career in 2023.
Prior to his professional career, Fulp played three seasons at Western Michigan University from 2020-23, totaling 38 points (4 goals, 34 assists) in 97 games. Fulp served as an alternate captain during the 2022-23 season, helping the Broncos reach the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive year while being named a finalist for the NCHC Defensive Defenseman of the Year Award.
Fulp earned NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete honors in each of his three seasons at Western Michigan and was named a College Sports Communicators Second Team Academic All-American following the 2022-23 season. Before attending Western Michigan, Fulp spent three seasons with the USHL’s Dubuque Fighting Saints.
